I just received my latest snus order. If you remember, I only ordered one can of loose on my previous order. On the order I received today, I ordered 20 cans total, ten of which were a roll of Tre Ankare minis, with the other ten cans being loose. Here's what I received today in loose snus:

Ettan
General
Granit
Grovsnus (highly recommended by one who posts often here - you know who you are!)
Göteborgs Prima Fint
Göteborgs Rapé
Knox
LD
Offroad - Cranberry
Phantom Classic Blue

For the free can, I requested to NOT send extra stark, but to instead send either mini-white portions or loose. So they sent a can of Gotlandssnus loose free.

I ordered the cans of loose by expiration date, then placed all but one can in the freezer. I will mark the date I open the first can in a text file on the computer, because I am very curious to know how long this order will last me. Given I have been using 4 mini-white portions per day, which meant it took me 5 days to get through one can, there is no telling how long 10 cans of loose snus will last me, given they contain 4.5 - 5 times the amount of tobacco that a can of mini-portions contains.

I will begin with the Offroad Cranberry & will keep everyone posted. I hope I don't wear out my Icetool in the coming months!

PSSST! Did I mention I have two tobacco plants in the front yard? They are only waist high, being unable to reach maturity due to late planting. However, spring is just a few short months away and snus recipes are a dime a dozen on the net.

Check the Snus Exchange thread on the Snuson Forums. I was able to trade a free can I received in my last order, minus one portion, for a can of loose that I had never tried before. I also bought my Icetool for 20 bucks on the snus exchange. It's a great way to get rid of your undesirables, even if the can has been opened and used. Your only cost is postage.

Is it just me, or does the Mocca Pomegranate smell and taste like bubblegum?

I highly recommend the Catch Peppermint, if she is one for whom mint flavors would be a good substitute for menthol smokes. They only come in mini white portions, as far as I know.

I find the Mocca Pom has a weird synthetic sweetener aftertaste that just tastes bad, for true bubblegum that would be Jakobsson's Ice Fruit, man that was bad too! I cannot recommend any Jakobsson's at all.

I still enjoy the Mocca Pomegranate. However, I really do not like the metal tins. They are not airtight, as I found out recently when I had to go out of town. I carried food in a cooler with ice, along with snus. The ice melted. The only snus that got wet was the Mocca Pomegranate, because of the tins. I hated having to throw the few remaining pouches away too.

In any event, I am extremely excited about the latest order. I really would eventually like to switch to loose completely. I have discovered the secret of keeping a pris in place, for well over an hour, without a mudslide, although I think much of that has to do with using the Icetool.

Alist, I find that funny because I use a Mocca can to carry some snus in when I go out, my pocket tin if you may. It is a great strong tin, but really is not well sealed from moisture, which is not normally a problem with the Mocca, since it is so dry to start with.

Although I have discontinued my Los usage due to gum issues, It is the tastiest form of usage IMHO. I miss it. The portion use has been OK for me. The Los world has a lot to offer, my favorites in order were:

Grov Los
Ettan
Gottlands Yellow
Skruf
Prima Fint

Actually I think I liked the all!

I did a few trades in the past but found it too much a pia. I'll just end up using it all eventually, snus lasts quite a while in the freezer (or even out for that matter). I do wanna restock more Odens Kanal, that's turned into a favorite. Great price on the Icetool though, I paid over twice that for the 5ml stainless.

Odens Kanal is a great snus, although I have a hard time with it by itself, I get the hiccups every time with them, and that is the original 8mg strength. I have two a day with coffee. Real good snus. dz, did you ever locate the Lotzbeck Vanilla Rooster?

I really took to the Kanal Xtra Sterk, unfortunately I only bought a few tins. They really nailed the flavor for me on that one. I plan to stock up on that flavor and try more Oden's next delivery (unless the mail order ban* is implemented). That turned out to be an exceptionally good brand.

No sir (are you certain it was in there...?). Unless one of the dogs got to it I can't imagine where it went off to. I even kept the box it came in for a few days before it became fodder so I know it wasn't hiding in there. A mystery indeed. :? I have been enjoying the snus and the french ho' snuff though, an acquired taste to say the least (the snuff, the snus is easy enjoyment). Thanks again for the incredibly generous package! :)

*Does anyone know if the proposed ban even could include overseas purchases btw?
